January 11, 2011-Day 11, 31 Days, 31 Videos, 31 Goals Challenge.

Today, January 11, 2011-Tuesday-Day 11, 31 Days, 31 Videos, 31 Goals.

I got to spend quite a bit of time with my son today which was awesomeness! We enjoyed each other's company and had a good chat.

I then got back to work on my goal. Today's goal was to clean off and organize my die cutting station in my scrap room.

It was a little challenging, due to the space issue, the things I need to organize and trying to figure out a way to organize it but yet it was fulfilling to finish ONE side of my ROOM!!!! Woot! Now, don't get me wrong, I still have quite a ways to go as my intentions are to put cabinets on the left side of the room-the side with the modular storage. Before that though, painting it and putting in wood flooring.

That will come in time though. Due to expenses, I can't do that just yet. The cabinets aren't cheap but will be well worth it when finished. :)

Today, January 10, 2011. Day 10, 31 Days, 31 Videos, 31 Goals challenge.

Today I got a lot done in my scrap room. I organized my cabinet above my work table--it's *ALL* organized, I know what's where, what's what and why it's there. :)

My next goal, ***sigh*** the dreaded dresser......lol This dresser holds my CCTV. I love my CCTV because I'm legally blind and when I can't see something really small(like some of the beads, or the eye of a sewing needle), this machine comes in quite handy as I will show you. I cleaned it off, decluttered the top of the dresser and on the sides of the CCTV. I also organized my embellishments too. Also, I took out totes and boxes on the floor in front of the dresser. 

Yay, I can walk in there again! :) I shall keep working and making progress, day by day, little by little, baby step by baby step.

January 9, 2011-Day 9, 31 Days, 31 Videos, 31 Goals Challenge.

Sunday-January 9, 2011-Day 9, 31 Days, 31 Videos, 31 Goals Challenge. Today was my birthday. We slept in a little bit, needed it after the long nights of working in my room. I heard from my twin brother & my father and then afterwards, we went to eat dinner. We chose Texas Roadhouse. If you haven't ever tried their food, give it a try. They have the very best steaks in Texas that I've had in forever. They are so good and so are their rolls, salads and potatoes as well.

We enjoyed our quiet dinner and I refrained from letting the staff get me on their saddle to ride it. LOL That is just not me and I don't want to make a fool of myself on my 40th birthday! LOL After dinner, we enjoyed a yummy big slice of fresh strawberry cheese cake, however we weren't able to eat it all, so therefore, we took some home. It was a grea snack later and a good lunch today.

After dinner @ Texas Roadhouse, we drove to Home Depot to price out their cabinets. I've been searching for cabinets for my scrap room. Just trying to do some shopping around and price comparison. 

Once we finished that, we came back home and enjoyed the peaceful evening.

All in all, it was a great day. I was blessed by many birthday wishes from many dear friends of mine and I am very happy about that. :)

January 8, 2011-Day 8, 31 Days, 31 Videos, 31 Goals Challenge.

Today, January 8, 2011-Saturday, Day 8 of my 31 Days, 31 Videos, 31 Goals Challenge, I decided to clean off my file cabinet under my stamp shelf on my wall. And organize it more. I got that done. I also fit my stamp pad holders on there very nicely.

I've been getting frustrated due to the fact that I do have such a small room. This house is very old. It was built in the early 50's, if not late 40's. This room is an 'add-on' room that was originally made as a garage if I remember correctly. Weird set-up if you ask me but they did what they did. Anyhow, as a result, it now has become my scrap room...hahaa! 

Because this room does have 3 windows, I'm frustrated due to the fact I have hardly any wall space. :( But I've been determined to get through this and do the best with what I've got for now until I can do more.

I begged my sweetie to please come and look at my situation and help me to please figure out ways I can organize it to the max. I suggested shelving, but then that still leaves the "What am I going to put onto those shelves once they're built". Not that I don't have anything to put onto them, as I sure do, it's just that I don't want to put shelves up and then waste all my wall space with shelves. ***sigh*** so indecisive right now. LOL, hence, the reason I asked him for his help. He's much better at knowing space and understanding what can & can't fit there and how it can fit etc. So I told him basically that he can basically design my scrap room for me after I tell him how I want it....lol he agreed! WOOHOO!

He suggested cabinets and shelving to maximize my space completely. Which baffled me because maybe it's because I have so much crap in there currently that I just don't see it....lol but he said it's possible and I believe him. So we went to Lowe's tonight to look at cabinets. :) I found some that I like a lot, of course, at a price...eek, but eventually, I'll get them. It will be pricey, but compared to the el cheapo's that he liked, eh, I just liked the more expensive ones better due to the fact they are nicer and will last longer and hold more. The others he chose were nice too, but to me, eh, more for the closet....lol lol

 I love them so far!!!! Now if I can just afford to get them......lol hint, if anyone wants to get me anything for my birthday, Mother's Day or Christmas, ahem, Lowe's Gift cards...hahaha!

 I loveeee my newly remodeled stamp station! I did a few things today. I not only cleaned off the file cabinets under my stamp shelf, to make it my 'stamp station', I organized it too. I also hung up my shelf under my tv yet again, it fell off the other day. LOL I had to get bigger nails to hold it. I also went with my sweetie, and picked out my awesomeness cabinets! WOOHOO! Now although I won't have those cabinets by the end of my challenge, lol I *will* have them by the end of the year. They are pricey, but I *will* have them by the end of '11. :) I hope you enjoyed it. Stay tuned for further videos of my achievements. Have a great day!

Today-Friday January 7, 2011, Day 7 of 31 Days, 31 Videos, 31 Goals Challenge, I'm going to clean out and organize each tote in my scrap room.  Let me rephrase that, each 'BIG' plastic tote in my scrap room. I will be back later with hopefully better recordings than previously.

Today has been a very busy day. But I intend on working more on my challenge right now to finish this book and then get onto my next 'BIG' goal. Beware, my next goal is going to have to go into parts. Basically due to the fact that I have soooooo very much to clean and organize. Mainly organize. It's insane. Bare with me though. I'm trying to come along....lol

Gotta go, will be back later...with my Day 6 video. :) 

Ok, so today, I decided not to cut more die cuts yet--as I needed a small break from that. Anyhow, I felt I needed to accomplish a little more, so I cleaned out my closet. :) I also wanted to put up this curtain I have, except I need a dow for it, so therefore, I can't put it up just yet, however, lol, I did hang it on some nails for now that were already there. LOL You could call it the 'redneck' way of doing it for now.....lol Although, I do like the look of it being there. Something about having a closet door...lol, feels nice. :)

I'm in the mood to go ahead and die cut some so I will get some die cuts ready to place into my book for tomorrow and hopefully be set with that soon too. Along with getting some of the boxes out of my scrap room that are driving me crazy being there. LOL

Let's hope my video came out for today because I still have a lot more work to do. Yet I still love it. I may only get about 3 hours of sleep tonight, but my motto, you can sleep when you're dead...lol hahaha, I know that's not right but I have some energy tonight, I'm going to use it. ;)


PS...hehee, I was inside Michaels tonight--thanks to this wonderful person who I don't even know that posted their coupon for me--to get some beads, bead string and some glue. I heard the song I have on my video in their store. :) I thought it sounded familiar, but loved hearing it there. It's just a relaxing song. :)
